Making Item Offers
Item offers enable buyers and sellers to negotiate prices directly on specific assets. By allowing bids on any NFT in the ecosystem—even those not actively listed for sale—Mintpad provides a mechanism for price discovery and flexible capital allocation.
Unlocking Unlisted Inventory
If you are looking to acquire a specific item or trait and the asset is not listed, you can place a direct bid on that item. The owner will be notified of your incoming offer, opening a pathway for negotiation that does not require the seller to have initiated a sale.
Trustless Bid Escrow
To protect both parties, all active offers on Mintpad are backed by Wrapped CRO (WCRO). When you place an offer:
- Capital Locking: Your offer amount is held securely in your wallet but locked in WCRO, proving you have the necessary funds.
- Acceptance: The owner of the NFT can accept the offer at any time, which triggers the smart contract to instantly exchange the NFT for the escrowed WCRO.
- Cancellation: If you decide to withdraw your offer, you can cancel it gaslessly, freeing up your WCRO balance for other trades.
