Frequently Asked Questions
Find direct answers on how on-chain transactions, listing states, gas operations, and asset metadata behave on the Mintpad platform.
Why did my transaction fail?
On-chain transactions on Cronos can fail due to several external factors:
* Insufficient Network Gas: You do not have enough native CRO in your wallet to cover the validator fee for executing the smart contract.
* Listing Already Filled: Another buyer submitted a purchase transaction for the same listing slightly before you, and their transaction confirmed first.
* State Change: The seller updated or cancelled the listing while your transaction was pending block confirmation.
How do listing and offer cancellations work?
Cancellations require an on-chain transaction because they write a status update to the blockchain. This revokes the marketplace contract's authorization to fill that listing, protecting your asset from being traded if your strategy changes.
Why does metadata sometimes take time to load?
NFT artwork and metadata (traits, names, descriptions) are usually stored on decentralized storage networks like IPFS. When a new item is minted or updated, it may take a few moments for the indexer to fetch and cache these files. You can request a manual refresh on the item page to update the information.
How do creators update royalty fees?
Project creators can modify royalty percentages and payout addresses at any time through the Creator Dashboard. These modifications are applied instantly to all subsequent secondary trades on the marketplace.
If you encounter persistent wallet connection issues, make sure your wallet app is updated to the latest version and explicitly connected to the Cronos Mainnet (Chain ID: 25).
